Well, you should select the dev set of packages when installing (even in
mdk community version). Don't worry, You don't need to reinstall. Just
configure your urpmi, i recommend to use help from this place: 

http://easyurpmi.zarb.org/

it will help you to configure your urpmi, later you simply do, as root,
the installing of any packages you need: 

urpmi glib2 

by example. If you have any doubt or need help with this, let me know.
