Gdk.Pixbuf supports png, tiff, jpg, gif, xpm, pcx, ico, xpm, xbm
for loading SVG, you need to use Rsvg.Pixbuf

the monodoc documentation is fairly complete, just build it from CVS
to make sure you have the latest documentation
