[Mono-list] Error when adding a web reference in Visual Studio

The XSP web server is generating this error when I try to add a web reference from VS.NET:
Error while compiling generated serializer X:\Path\Temp\tmp3986f9e5(771,0): error CS0103: The name `Default' could not be found in `Mono.GeneratedSerializers.Literal.GeneratedReader'
VS.NET generates the error: "There was an error in generating the XML Document"
Any help would be appreciated...
