Too bad, here's to hoping that they let you finish it.
Sometimes legal gets in the way of learning. But hey, they have to earn
a living I guess.
I personally think that letting you all do it would be good as showing
the "developer community" how serious Microsoft is about being more open
and willing to compete. Besides the .NET Framework is the gold standard
today anyway. Many things that get implemented in the root language
comes from them so there is not too much to be worried about anyway.
But like I said, instead of ranting about it, here's to hoping they
look through the list and see that showing this complementary platform
to others can win Microsoft more converts and promote their technology
even more.

Short after this message, Microsofts legal team cancelled the
presentation. The reason was that for doing such a presentation,
Microsoft Belgium needs approval of their legal team in the USA first.
I don't wish to express my personal opinion on the issue, so I am
keeping this post purely based on the facts I know.
Nevertheless, thanks a lot for the information which has been send to
us
and helping us prepare the presentation.
And keep up the good work on the Mono-technology (and also a huge
thanks
for that, we are having plans to start using it in a professional
environment sooner or later).
