Hello,
one of my test servers is using some older AMD processor
uname -a
Linux lepain.aurora 2.6.8-1.521 #1 Mon Aug 16 09:01:02 EDT 2004 i586
i586 i386 GNU/Linux
It won't install mono using yum (our preferred way of doing things
here) because it's not 686 architecture.
I noticed the yum repository advertises itself as i386 but some of the
key packages are i686.
Is it really necessary to compile these are i686? Are there some speed
improvements that will be lost? Does anyone know of some precompiled
packages for < i686?
Here is the output of `yum install mono-complete`:
Errors reported doing trial run
