correct me if I'm wrong,

but shouldn't you be using:

configure --with-preview=yes in *mono* module?

I mean, again, correct me if I'm wrong, mono seems to be the main module
and mcs is being compiled through the mono module. So when you ask mono
for the preview 2.0 it should compile the mcs class library 2.0 too.
