Because there are some projects that are written for DirectX that
would be very nice on Linux. But the main point: just for the hack for
it.
Anyways, for the wrapper part - it's 100% true. But, since Direct3D 8,
Direct3D is moving more and more towards an OpenGL-like interface. It
should not be a major hasstle to implement it - more a matter of time.
Much time. But what I'm thinking about is just a set of the most basic
classes, and a subset of their methods/properties - just enough to get
the first 2/3 tutorials of the D3D 9 SDK to run.
