[Mono-list] Problem installation on Mandrake 9.2

I've had the same problem with MDK 8.2,9.0,9.1 and 9.2
We have tried figuring it out on the list about a year ago (look at the 
archives and you will see). It seems having to do with the combination of the 
GCC version and glibc on that particular version of MDK. While you can always 
update both from either the updates or cooker, I would suggest going to 10.0 if 
possible. Mono will compile cleanly from source as well as all the other 
additional packages. 

Sorry, this is not a good answer to your original question though.
