[Mono-list] How to use the Boehm garbage collector

The method GC.Collect() uses the Boehm collector ??
Because with my application, GC.Collect() doesn't reduce the total memory 
used. And for this reason I thought that GC.Collect wasn't implemented. So I 
wanted to use an other collector.

Is there any other way to force to reduce the memory used by my program ?
