[Mono-list] Installing beta 2

Hi all
I'm trying to install mono beta 2. I would like to get the whole mono
stuff but the source (I'm just tipping the waters). The first time I
tried it, I couldn't get either the monodevelop or the monkey guide.
There are several options incl: using red carpet, using cvs,
downloading the rpm,
I have Red Carpet using Novell's Red Carpet server (I'm a Novell
employee). I updated the Mono channel but it seams it is outdated and
installed the beta 1.
Then, I tried to download the mono-all.zip but it hangs at 0%
percentage.
I haven't tried the cvs option because last time I used it with beta 1,
I just couln't compile it. Also, it is not clear for me what do I need
to get to have all the pieces of mono.
What is the recomended way to get mono?
