I found out why this was failing: my /tmp/mod_mono_server already
existed and was owned by a different user, so mod-mono-server.exe didn't
have permission to delete it.
So the script as emailed is *more or less* okay as an init.d script. It
has some problems but they're pretty trivial. You have to add
--background to the start-stop-daemon start line, and it still dumps a
bunch of stuff to stdout or stderr that I'm not sure how to supress
within start-stop-daemon (there's no --redirect-stdio-to-dev-null option).
I'm now having some problems with mcs that I'd love to test against a
newer version, but libapache-mod-mono conflicts with mono-cvs and
company. Are you working on 0.30 versions yet?
