[Mono-list] Status of WinForms?

Steve,
I would recommend looking into gtk# as well as far as a windowing
toolkit for mono is concerned.
You'll notice that the work on gtk# (especially from cvs) has become
reasonably mature of late (mature enough to be used in a gtk# port of
SharpDevelop), and that most mono developers tend to get behind gtk#
because of it's more familiar API (gtk# is a OO wrapper of Gtk).
Anyways,
Hope that helps.

Subject: [Mono-list] Status of WinForms?
I read Miguel's post from 1/1/2004 about WinForms being broken in Mono
0.29.
Are the issues resolved in CVS? At this point, I'm running mono from
the=20
packages in Red Carpet, on a clean RedHat 9.0 install. But would build
mono=20
from CVS if that would make a difference.
I am writing a chapter in a Windows .NET book on Mono and would like to=20
include an example on WinForms (I've already done a console app, an
ASP.NET=20
app, and have WinForms and ADO.Net to do).
All I need to do is a simple form with a couple of labels, and a button.
I'll=20
have a simple event handler for the onclick event of the button. The
error I=20
get with the current versions install is "Failed to load=20
library: ./libgdiplus.dll.so"
Thanks,
