after running ./configure, something like this is displayed:

    * Installation prefix = /opt/mono

       * gtkhtml-sharp.dll: no
"""

install the gtkhtml development package to turn 'gtkhtml-sharp.dll' 
option into 'yes'.

on my mandrake 9.2, I did urpmi libgtkhtml-3.0_2-devel.
on debian, some apt-cache search queries will help you to find the 
package name.

once installed, run again the configure script.

be sure that PKG_CONFIG_PATH contains the directory where 
libgtkhtml-3.0.pc is located.
