[Mono-list] iconv and intl dependency

Is there any glib function used from within mono which would in turn use (be
dependent on) the intl and iconv functionality ?
[This refers to the functions in gconvert.c and gutils.c, g_iconv,
g_iconv_open, g_iconv_close, bindtextdomain etc] . Would it be safe to
assume that the mono developers would not be using any of these functions
from iconv and intl in the near future ?
