[Mono-list] Clunked my previous mono install

This is strange...
1) Got the monocharge
2) make clean and update cvs both ok
3) cvs update and make install of mono ok
4) copied the binaries
5) mcs make install fails with:
"The assembly corlib.dll was not found or could not be loaded. It should
have been installed in the '/usr/local/lib' directory"
It once again isn't there, and yet mono runs regular c# code! Mcs also
will compile happily.
However, mono-wine complains with:
"Failed to load library ./libgdiplus.dll.so (gdiplus.dll), no such file
or directory"
The actual window displays, but the buttons and such are not finished
being drawn.
Any suggestions?
