You have to install the devel pakages of of glib (and probbably gtk)

libglib2.0_0-devel-2.2.1-1mdk
libgtk+-x11-2.0_0-devel-2.2.1-2mdk
libgtk+2.0_0-devel-2.2.1-2mdk

they should be around on your MDK cd's
