Don't worry about my earlier email, i gave --enable-threads=pthread , but
after hunting in
google i found it to be pthreads , "s" made a difference.

so, now i've got the gc6.1 configuration correctly, i'll proceed with
further installation
and will let you know.

You compiled libgc without the support for threads, there is
a configure option for that (something like --enable-threads=pthread)
