Hi,

Now, when I tried to configure the gc6.1 as follows:-

./configure --prefix=/usr/local --enable-threads=pthread 

i get the following error :-

configure: error: pthread is an unknown thread package

You compiled libgc without the support for threads, there is
a configure option for that (something like --enable-threads=pthread)
