For some reason the configure checks didn't find the size of the unix
socket path.  I don't know why this would happen, because I can't
reproduce the bug here.  You might be able to figure out what's going on
by looking in config.log (search for "sun_path").

The compile deliberately bombs out, because otherwise you'd get shared
memory corruption at runtime.
