Eric, Even though this is a workaround, here's what you can do to fix this: find monobasepath.bat in c:\windows (on XP that is) find the line that has "set MONO_CFG_DIR=" and change it to be something like this: set MONO_CFG_DIR=C:\Program Files\Mono-0.25\etc That should solve the problem with not being able to read machine.config Mark.
