Pardon the newbie question but I haven=E2=80=99t built Mono from CVS for =
some time now and with the ever-changing landscape, I seem to always be =
asking how. =E2=98=BA I=E2=80=99m sure the problem is my general lack =
of building processes on *nix.
Anyway, whether I use /mono/doc/mono-build.sh or work straight from a =
cvs checkout I have done manually, I get the same problem.
When I downloaded the 0.24 source tarball, I simply had to do a =
./configure =E2=80=93prefix=3D/usr/local in each directory and make; =
make install. When updating from CVS, there is no configure script so I =
run ./autogen.sh =E2=80=93prefix=3D/usr/local. This churns for a while =
and then fails telling me if can=E2=80=99t find a directory related to =
libgc. =20
I=E2=80=99m thinking there is something I don=E2=80=99t have installed =
but I don=E2=80=99t know what. I=E2=80=99m trying to get this built so =
I can update the ByteFX.Data provider and make sure it doesn=E2=80=99t =
break the build. =20
Thanks,
Reggie
