System.Xml is part of the ECMA standard, yes? In this case shouldn't a
documentation discrepancy indicate Microsoft needing to fix things, as
otherwise they'd be breaking the "standard"? :)

We should implement the same behavior as MS.NET.  Send an email to MS
using
the link on the documentation page about the discrepency.  They really
do
listen!
