    Obiously yes and dangerous as well.

    /var/www is the DocumentRoot (home dir of www) and making it 0777 is
nasty. I don't recall where, but there's a place where all the compiled
modules are kept (and there's a directive to specify the location, IIRC).
All that is need is to copy this .so file there and enjoy.
