[Mono-list] Mono doesn't seem to like JSharp code in MSIL form.

It does not; it's entirely missing support for applets, defining new
.NET properties, events, value types, or delegates. It's also limited
to JVM 1.1.4; I believe it's intended as a stopgap for people hooked
into the abandoned Visual J++, rather than a serious tool for current
Java developers.
I've been collecting reviews for my dissertation (which is a retarget of
the Jikes Java compiler to output MSIL); two of the most complete are:
http://www.ondotnet.com/pub/a/dotnet/2001/10/15/jsharp.html
http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-11-2001/jw-1121-iw-jsharp.html
Hope this helps,
- Chris.
