[Mono-list] Compile under Unix & Linux (vb.net)

I have created a software which uses sockets in VB.NET.

I need to translate it to work under mono (I have Maker.cs, but I don't 
know how to use it... :\)

Then I will need to make my application support mySql.

I think that I will have to make my app directly in the mono-style (right?)

How can I do all of these things?
