ok, let me start by saying it was a terrible choice for my first mono
contribution :-) i thought it was something trivial but the more i dig
the less trivial it seems. so now the not so bad news :-)=20

digging through the code led me to conclude that the FactoryCache and
Parser are working fine. I am still trying to understand Regex and=20
PatternCompiler [Dan Lewis is deep :-)]. you seem to be on the right
path, ranges of numbers work fine (i.e. [0-9]), its the letters that are
dodgy. i'll let you know how things progress. now back to emacs :-)
