That would be great. Working out the issue on FreeBSD 5 in August, I 
believe I was able to track the issue their to interactions between 
glib2, boehmgc and libc_r. The threading situation made it difficult to 
make any progress.

Does the emulation impose any significant performance impact or 
dependency? Emulation is not good path to follow nor is imposing 
significant external lib dependencies. Complicating 
build/install/maintenance will only detract more users from exploring 
Mono and writing cool applications.
