[Mono-list] Mono's ASP.NET and extensive use of JavaScript

Hi,

Today I had a look at XSP and Mono's implementation of ASP.NET. 
Something that made me wonder is the extensive use of JavaScipt and POST 
variables. Since the usage of this techniques makes it impossible to 
bookmark the generated pages I wonder if the extensive use of JavaScipt 
and POST is required by the specification of if it is just an 
implementation specific detail.
