[Mono-list] Environment variables for mono/linux

Hi !

I'm very interested in Mono, so I bought the first (German) book covering
this topic.

I tried hard to run the qtsharp examples, but I always get the following
message.

mono hello.exe  results in:

** (hello.exe:1857): WARNING **: Could not find assembly Qt
Can not open image hello.exe

Where does mono look for assemblies ?
What kind of defininitions are in mono's config file ?
