That's wishful thinking, I'm afraid. The stuff they have on the research
site (ILX, generics, etc'...) is very interesting, but I doubt it if we
will see this kind of stuff for some time. Probably they will first do
some in-house testing and some academy projects (like they do in
Cambridge) for some years. Anyway most of their clients are not really
interested in lambda or generics, so it will take them some time to
develop products that justify the overhead of including these tools. Or
maybe I'm wrong and the next version will ship with
MS-VisualCommonLisp.Net :)
