[Mono-list] Status

Hi,

I am currently working on a .NET project towards a masters at the University 
of Texas. One of the areas of interest is portability. What I would like to 
know is the status of mono. What are the current limitations and what is 
complete enough to work with. Ideally, I would like to run a WebService on a 
Linux pc as part of a web application. Can this currently be done?
