True. And also the Microsoft runtime seem to be very well crafted, I must
reluctantly admit. :) In a couple of small tests I did on the beta 2
version it outperformed the JDK1.3.1 JVM slightly on equivalent
floating-point arithmetic (Linpack benchmark). I guess Sun has never
really been good at code generation for x86.

Of course some of the worst JVM warts has been removed, which probably
helps.
