I read your 5-step plan - it's great.
We could all benifit from such informative instructions like this on the
go-mono.com homepage. Or at least a link.

To have it find the libmonowrapper you should :
1) set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH
or
2) add the location of the lib to /etc/ld/so/conf, and rund ldconfig
