[Mono-list] performance q

I have a question about the performance of the Mono compiler.

Does anyone know of any benchmark specs on how code generated from the 
Mono compiler compares to similar code from gcc, gcj, or Java JITs? I'm 
especially interested in memory consumption.

I've poked around in various places, but can't seem to find anything. I 
could do it myself, but I'm pretty much a newbie when it comes to Java 
and C# (that's why I'm asking).

Maybe it's a bit too early, or too complicated a question to ask, or 
both, but I thought I'd give a try.
