Dear Mono developers!
let me first introduce myself. My name is Michael Petig and I am development
manager at KW Software, mainly responsible for embedded software. KW Software
develops software systems for industrial automation. A PLC programming tool and
a PLC runtime system are our main products. Beeing impressed from the .NET
technologie we started a small investigation project (acutally with one
trainee, Nils Beckmann) to find out, whether a CLR can be the base for a
programable controller runtime system. Of course there is the big issue with
the realtime capability of such a system. But in the first stage we want to
check how an IEC61131 languages based programming system can be mapped to CIL.
So, this is our background and the motivation, to looking closer on your mono::
project.
We've got a problem installing Mono on our system (Windows2000).
We downloaded several versions (0.10/0.11/nightshot_may23),
but in everyone, there was one file missing. We opened for
example a projectfile(.csproj) and tried to compile it,
but "cs-parser.cs" was absent there, so that the
compile always aborted. We already unzipped the programs
which are described on the project website to be
required to run Mono(automake,bibtool,libtool,wget).
The question now is, is there a foolproof way to get Mono started? Have you an
idea, what we propably having missed to do or having done wrong?
Thank you in advance.
Best Regards
Michael Petig
