:
: We (Ximian) do not have plans to support any form of Java to CIL
: compiler at this point. But there are other people interested in making
: this happen (Gaurav on this mailing list for example).
I am working with few others from my college and from FSF to make a compiler
for Java-Bytecode. For more details on the working mode of the compilers, please
have a look at the following thread:
http://lists.ximian.com/archives/public/mono-list/2002-January/002578.html
On exactly, how do we plan to proceed, please look at:
http://lists.ximian.com/archives/public/mono-list/2002-January/002599.html
Just few things:
* The compiler is being developed as a part of our course at the college.
* It may take another 3-4 months for something to comeup, even trivial
compiler.
* Since we are at college, we also have other subjects, the progress may be
tortoisal to start with. ;-)
If there are any specific queries, you may contact me.
Cheers,
Gaurav Vaish
