ODBC exists on linux since ages. There is unixODBC
(http://www.unixodbc.org) and iODBC (?). Maybe there are other
implementations.
libgda itself provides a bridge for ODBC, so that you can access ODBC
data sources through libgda.

I'm not sure yet. I am leaving in some hours to Brussels for the FOSDEM,
where I'll talk with Miguel.
I'm also looking at the mail you sent me, so will be reading that, and
based on your mail and what I talk with Miguel, I'll answer you, ok? I
can't right now give you an answer, since I'm still clueless on how is
the best way to do it.
cheers
