[Mono-list] Linux environment for Mono

Is there a document anywhere describing the environment variables that need
to be setup?

I am presently working with .Net on Windows, however, I am targeting the
site I am working on to move to Linux and Mono in the future.  I would like
to install Mono on RH 8.0 and begin to get familiar with the product.  I am
not a Linux newbie, however, I do not have a great deal of experience with
it.  I have worked with Unix off and on for many years.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
