Here's a suggestion, try:

export GC_DONT_GC=1

Subject: [Mono-list] XSP test server

I was very anxious to try out the mono web application capabilities in
0.17, but up to this point have been a bit dismayed...
I'm either going crazy, don't know how to follow bone easy "INSTALL", or
possibly found a ?glitch? (hard to believe) in the xsp tarball released
with 0.17. I've tried:
#1 rpm the mono + libgc packages for RH8
#2 make & make install in xsp tarball
#3 cd server/text & mono server.exe

So far I've got the same on three machines ranging from a P2 laptop to a
2200+ Athlon:

#1 Browser displays a trace as such:
System.Web.HttpException: String returned by
in <0x00085> 00 System.Web.HttpApplication:InitModules ()
in <0x00057> 00 System.Web.HttpApplication:Startup
in <0x00121> 00 System.Web.HttpApplicationFactory:GetPublicInstance
in <0x000b0> 00 System.Web.HttpApplicationFactory:GetInstance
in <0x0014a> 00 System.Web.HttpRuntime:InternalExecuteRequest

#2 stderr/stdout in the server.exe terminal:
GC Warning: Finalization cycle involving 8158d20

#3 ... and two of the three systems have also printed the following upon
`mono server.exe` (printed twice):
** (server.exe:31346): WARNING **: Failed to load library libkernel32.dll.so
(kernel32.dll): libkernel32.dll.so: cannot open shared object file: No such
file or directory

Is this a known issue? Any workarounds?
