[Mono-list] Strange download behaviour

I am having trouble downloading the daily snapshots from the Mono
website.

Is there an FTP location I can download the snapshots from (a reliable
source) ?

I suspect that my cable provider's (Telstra Bigpond Australia) HTTP
proxy might be to blame here since the file downloads at over 400kb/sec,
however incase others have noticed similar behaviour, here are the
details of what happens:

(NOTE: I have seen this behaviour for quite a while now, on more than
one computer however both computers had the same software installed)

Using:
Windows 2000 (SP3)
IE6 (6.0.2600.0000)
All latest patches

downloading (for example)
http://go-mono.com/snapshots/mono-snapshot-19-Aug-02.tar.gz from the
Mono website, IE6 begins downloading initially reports the file size is
5.89MB. The download does not stop at 5.89MB and continues until 33.0 MB
(34,693,120 bytes).

The file once downloaded is unable to be extracted and is invalid.

Thanks,
