This list is the appropriate forum for such discussions.
You can get more info perusing the mailing-list archives since porting
to OS X has been discussed already (currently the port is blocking on
a compilation error in io-layer related to the use of poll(): a
patch to remove that and use the GLib IO channels would help getting the
port forward).
