You really can start the class library work, but I think that you must use 
C# for that: is this OK for you?

As this library isn´t part of the ECMA proposal, you should use 
documentation and first-hand usage knowledge.

I think that for now, you need to work on a Cygwin/Windows environment, 
because we are at the very start of VB.NET support.

I´ll give you, and any others who want to help, more directions, as soon as 
I do some basic tasks I´m terribly late with. Keep hearing.
