[Mono-list] MCS Assertion Failed on RedHat 7.0

Hello,

I have downloaded the latest (well it was when I downloaded it :-) Baselabs
RPM mono-0.10_baselabs-20020412.i386.rpm and glib2, libg6 and pkconfig as
specified.

When I run mcs I get:

** ERROR **: file delegate.c: line 370 (async_invoke_thread): assertion
failed: (fist_worker)
Aborting...

I tried running mcs.exe with mint. This gives:

** ERROR **: file unicode.c: line 200 (ves_icall_iconv_new_decoder):
assertion failed (cd != (iconv_t)-1)
Aborting...


I am running on RedHat 7.0. Is this doomed to failure? Do I need a new
kernel/libraries whatever. Has anyone else run mcs successfully on 7.0?
