Hey,

I'm not quite sure about this -- but ::

Since mono is currently self-hosting (ie, once you have the compiler,
you don't need to bother with windows anymore), would it be possible to
provide "binary" (CLR bytecode versions), of the mono mcs compiler?
This way it would require no interaction with windows at all in order to
get C# and Mono up and running on a linux box?

I think I read something about this binary being provided in .10 or the
latest cvs, although I can't seem to find it::

cd mcs;
find . -name mcs.exe -depth

yeilds nothing...

Am I missing something, or would this be a possibility?
