[Mono-list] rotor/mono incompatibility

The book _Inside Microsoft .NET IL Assembler_ by Serge Lang
(http://www.microsoft.com/MSPress/books/5771.asp) has an extensive
discussion of the PE file header in relation to .NET.  I was slightly
disappointed in the description of a few of the fields (I couldn't
figure out exactly what the semantics of the fields were, but maybe
that's just me).  On the other hand, I expect it's a lot easier to
figure out what's going on by reading the book than by reading Rotor
source code.
