[Mono-list] Please comment on excellent Java/J2EE/EJB v. Mono/.NET article here...

I'm interested in this (from my reading) unsupported claim:

"...there has been a good deal of FUD from Microsoft on the legality of
Open Source efforts to clone .NET."

I thought projects like Mono were proceeding with, if not exactly the
blessing, at least a profound disinterest, from Microsoft. Does anyone
know what he's talking about?

This article seems very good at making
a case for J2EE/EJB/Java versus Mono/.NET...

I would be interested in hearing any opinions on it.

Please read it before repeating a comment he
addresses in article. He has anticipated
and eloquently addressed most common replies
from his flamemail he received by an earlier article.
