Thanks for the Mono education! I really appreciate it
and hope I can help...
My hope is that education/awareness will make many
Win app developers to be careful to avoid pitfalls
that would prevent portability to Open Source .NET
implementations like Mono. THIS seems possible & it
would bring a ton of apps to GNOME/Linux world
without any work needing to be done.
I'm not a genie/expert but I think we can assume
MS apps will use PInvoke to achieve NON-portability to Mono.
They will likely sneak PInvoke into their dev tools
so people naively keep writing non-portable programs.
I still think Mono project is a great idea for Ximian
and GNOME. Who knows what the future may bring...
