I think this comment sums it up best...

    Misleading Headline

    The article states that Ximian and Microsoft have spoken informally,
    and that Microsoft may consider helping Ximian.

    It does not say "Microsoft Will Help Ximian"-- it says "Microsoft
    Will Think About Mono at A Meeting on Tuesday" which is, in essence,
    not news.
