Mark,

You've pushed me to look at CodeDOM. Thank you. From the brief look, I agree 
it forms the methods for encoding rich parsetrees and traversing. Looks like 
it could be used to form the implementation details of an Open Compiler. 
Although I doubt that was the original design goal. The importance is that 
it provides a standardized and documentated way of implementing the 
parsetrees.
