Monodocer does the exact same thing that updater does, only it does it 
correctly.  So yes.  Everything else in that tutorial looks good, except 
for this improvement:

If you're not editing docs that come installed with Monodoc, or if you 
remove those nodes from the monodoc.xml file first, you can edit XML 
files directly, without having to assemble the docs first and merge the 
changes file after, using:

monodoc --local-edit /full/path/to/doc/root
